I explore a variety of themes in my practice; it changes according to daily influences. More recently, I’ve been interested in astrology for example and so, it has made its in my work. However, there is always some form of absurdity in what I do; whether it is in the silliness of my actions, or in the questioning of life’s meaning. In thinking about meaning, I was led to explore the creation of my own through video making and post-production. Editing is just as important as the content of my work because it is what allows me to make sense of nonsense, improvisation, random thoughts and fragmented memories.

My practice is not limited to digital media, I’m also a painter and a printmaker. When the digital world becomes too overwhelming, I find comfort in the physicality of painting and printmaking. My most recent prints (I’m a bit sad but that’s OK), although colourful, reveal the loneliness I’ve experienced during the pandemic; the swimming goggles have become a symbol for what I miss and long for…

In as much, nostalgia can also be recognised in most of my work. In my videos especially, since I use a lot of old, personal footage.

I am unsure of the reliability of my memories and I wonder how much I’ve romanticised my past

I have yet to find the answers to my questions

I will let mind drift, in the ocean, vast

What will be my next destination?
