The intention of this project was to restore the habitat and thus bring back the ecological assets that once occupied the site, and to provide an opportunity for social use at Seething Wells. As the remains of abandoned water treatment facilities along the Thames are still present, landscape design can add a new programme to them. This serves to restore the site’s ecological value and diversity, but also to facilitate the well-being of the entire community, considering its functionality in the post-epidemic era.
