“Design for a better world.” is my motivation and purpose for being a designer. In all of my works, I relate different cultures to each other and humans to nature. At the same time, as a person who cares about the Earth, I am also interested in sustainable issues. You can notice a variety of design styles in my work, demonstrating great flexibility to diverse briefs. However, I still prefer to explain and present information in the most straightforward and simplest way. Visit my website to learn more about me.
In my final year of university, I studied and practised design as a social designer. One of my proudest projects in the last year is Setto, a digital safe space that helps young BAME settlers overcome the barrier of making friends in a foreign place while also providing them with a feeling of belonging. In addition to the application design, there are marketing campaign design posters and banners put in public transit as a result of extensive interviews and research. Furthermore, in order to reach more people and achieve the goal of our project, the design of the welcome pack enables Setto to collaborate with institutions and support international students towards having a better living experience.
When you work with me, despite the fact that I seem to be quiet, I am just thinking and learning new information. I’m a little slow-to-warm-up at the beginning, but once you know me, you’ll discover that I’m actually really interesting. I am an excellent listener and a good team player. Strong time management abilities, structured logical thinking, and a strong feeling of responsibility enable me to lead the team at times. As a Chinese student studying in the United Kingdom, I have a unique viewpoint on cultural understanding and attitudes. These variations in perception and cognition can sometimes provide new inspiration to the team.
As a graphic designer, I have sharp eyes for seeing problems and sensitive thinking throughout the design process. The audience’s emotional experience in mind and the user’s experience will always come first. My design was also enhanced by the use of diverse materials and comprehension of three-dimensional space.
