During my postgraduate years, I have tried to explore in more depth how the structure of the garment changes the shape of the body, and to define and clarify my design style. Based on my previous experiments with the silhouette of garments for non-normal bodies, I began to shift the focus of my research onto the external contours of the human body and the trajectory of muscle movement; further research was carried out by integrating suit-tailoring techniques with the deconstruction of the human body structure.
A large part of my work is about exploring femininity and gender differences. Exploring changes in clothing and body silhouette through altered measurement and deconstruction. THE ROSE IA ROSE IS A ROSE project, it’s about exploring feminine masculinity and the boundaries between masculinity and femininity.
challenging these stereotypes and portraying a playful dissection of the mandating nine-to-five suit worn by average office women, breaking down the boundaries between genders through the deconstruction of the body’s curved structure, and seeking to encourage women to simultaneously express playfulness, sensuality, and absurdity.
I have always believed that gender is fluid and that I can be anyone and anyone can be me.
Who inserted this soul into this body?
Who made this body become a prison that confines him/herself?
