The Insiders
From the end of 2019, we are suffering from a pandemic and from isolation, and this has interrupted our social life and our work. During this time many people are beginning to take stock of their lives, their purposes and their direction. We can feel a sense of absurdity if life feels meaningless, and it is often people and relationships that give our lives meaning. If we lose this aspect to our lives, we can feel an overwhelming sense of absurdity. How are we to face the absurdity of life in a time of growing crisis of faith and spiritual anxiety? How can we struggle to gain spiritual peace and inner happiness in our lives?
The Insider is a creative set that both reflects and challenges the absurdity of life. It includes an illustration book, eight comic postcards and a Jacob’s ladder toy. The set uses the myth of Sisyphus to explore the absurdity of life, and the reader is encouraged to reflect on life, to grasp the present moment, and to resist absurdity.
