Hi everyone, I am a student of Graphic Design at GDCP, my name is Xiangbo Han, or you can call me Rubi.

These are pictures of the content of my graduation project, in which I researched the subject of social phobia. I am good at putting abstract things into drawing, step by step from research to final outcomes, even if it is just a simple draft. This is why that my mind keeps moving on the subject from the beginning to the end. I researched this topic because I have a bit of a social phobia factor myself and to try to help people like me to reduce some of the problems that social phobia brings to their lives.

For this project, I researched tests on social phobia and cartoons drawn from my own experiences regarding social phobia. I researched the state of the group and designed different visual outputs in the form of posters, cartoons and artefacts. The book ends with my advice to people with social phobia to overcome their fears, also made into a set of posters, with the final aim of making people aware of this group of people and treating them gently, which was my ideal for completing this research project.

Capstone was one of the more testing independent research topics in PM7000 and was also one of the longest, testing our ability to learn more than previous studies. I hope to learn more and do more in my future studies.

In PM7000, my approach to design focuses on ‘finding the bright spots’. I like to incorporate new and exciting design ideas into my projects, to put interesting design ideas into them and to find different visual effects. Games, plants, cartoons, manuscripts, all are highlights that can be used in design.
