To fine my ego
People generally live in various situations and coexist with others. ‘I’ and other people are not able to the same. And people can confront that fact; they have to encounter various emotions in progress. When I left Korea, the time I spent in the UK was a time to face the aspects of myself that I had not known or ignored. And the whirlpools of emotions I encountered have been other mediums to understand me more clearly, although it is sometimes challenging.
Through ‘Self-Portrait’, this project explores and reflects on my inner self and unconscious and deals with growing up facing various social and human images. I want that viewers interpret and empathize with multiple metaphors and symbols in the painting from various sights by reflecting them for the current COVID situation.
