I am Sanjana, a design graduate who is a keen learner willing to explore self and the world through the medium of art and design. Being a deep thinker, the medium of art and design has given me a voice to sing those thoughts and express ourselves to the world in varied ways. Studying fashion design for four years, exploring the different aspects of it and the part that we share with our clothes has made me discover
the other side of it where I found myself more aligned towards textiles and textures which is the closest element of fashion that we carry.

I am an admirer of crafts and textile practices and closely relate to hand-done things that deepen the sense of solitude and speak more of one’s thoughtfulness and life practices. I am more of a surface person where tactility might dominate the shapes and silhouettes but highly speaks of expression. Being a demure designer I often prefer to work backside and let the creation narrates the individuality and character.

I enjoy expressing through the medium of textile art and quietly practising the art of unconventional hand embroideries. Learning different aspects of art and design, developing individual style and language, applying the knowledge and creating the most out of it.

“Design and expression lies in the smallest things we are surrounded with, where one has to discover self in that journey and find ways of portraying those personal narratives”
