Throughout my time at Uni I focused more and more on the type of design that I want to be doing in the future. I found these ideas to lay within the realm of 3D, photography and set design. I enjoy exploring how design can be taken away from the digital and return to a more hand made/materialistic approach, however this does not have to be a wasteful approach and I find that sustainability plays a big part of my practise.

Christmas waste

A project highlighting the ever growing problem of the amount of waste that is produced around the Christmas period.

Frozen time

A photographic project surrounding the idea of the 13th hour and how time freezes with this hour.

Hostile bench

An installation based project looking at how hostile architecture negatively affects the life of people who are experiencing homelessness.

Save Happisburgh

An installation based project highlighting the problem of coastal erosion within the small seaside village of Happisburgh, and how the government is letting this village be washed away.

My strengths in design lay in the form of fun ideas and making. I am also interested in the photographic side of graphic design. I like to subvert the average person’s idea of a photograph and show that you can achieve more from a photo rather than just a selfie.
