I’m a Vis comm student who decided to focus on an illustration path.
During this course I found an interest in creating illustrations, animations and films for my pieces, creating and exploring ambience and introducing and improvising with my own sound effects.
Kingston was able to begin this interest by pushing me to try different types of animation styles consisting of paper animation, digital animation, hand drawn animation and 3D film.
During this course I was questioned a lot by my tutor on what I wanted to communicate and how I can improve my method of showing my thoughts which helped improve and refine my process of creating my arts.
My favourite parts of the project were creating the stories I wanted to share and assembling the final film/illustration piece. Additionally, the week-long projects made it satisfying when I completed an ambitious film piece or publishing piece in a small-time limit.
