Patrycja (Pati) is a multidisciplinary artist from Poland. She engages primarily in making animations as she believes in the impactful power of moving images. What motivates her is exploring mixed media and various forms of communication that could serve others.
In her creative practice she has focused on expanding diverse digital and traditional skills to allow for freedom in engaging the target audience by using different tools.
Her film ‘Human Being’ intends to represent the ability of human beings to recover from emotional suffering. There is no focus on a specific issue but rather an idea of mental pain itself and the rewarding journey one can take to heal. Trailer available at: https://vimeo.com/560734521
As the basis of the film serves audio edit from interviews with five individuals. They are of different ages, genders, have gone through varied struggles. What they’ve shared is the emotional suffering, being in their rock bottom; they’ve learned a lot through their recovery and were happy to share their stories to help, inspire and support others.
