A Matter of Closeness
An investigative project exploring and encouraging various forms of human connections. A response to social distancing illustrated through technology, graphics, clothing and film.
Through exploring various forms of social interactions, I heightened and documented different ways of being close to one another. Achieved by acknowledging and drawing attention to various forms of human interactions based on the intrinsic need and want to interact with other people.
The project is split into three sections:
Section one is a set of everyday wearables that force people to be in close contact whilst performing an everyday task, documented through a film.
Section two is a series of public posters, which contradict the usual warning or prohibiting posters by giving permission for people to interact by welcoming a nice deed.
Section three explores technology’s involvement in having and documenting communication.
