Ollie is an interdisciplinary Illustrator, Animator, Writer, and Designer. During his time at Kingston, he has focused on refining his storytelling abilities and honing his skills in hand-drawn animation with plans to expand his work internationally.

Ollie enjoys exploring the various philosophies his films capture with complementary styles, aiding in the effectiveness of the experience. Most recent of which is present within his grad film Fanflan-Foo, a story that explores the idea of just letting yourself become enamored with the magic of the unknown and be ok with not knowing everything all the time, which is reflected in the freeform and bouncy style of the final animation which secured a playful tone.

Ollie has a particular fascination with collaboration, having worked with many artists and organisations both inside and outside universities such as Penguin Books, Monstra Film Festival, Frontier Psychiatrist Reanimated, and two 24 Hour animation competitions (coming 30th in 2020 and 36th in 2021).

We don’t just learn to draw just to end up being imprisoned in showing off our knowledge of joints and muscles. We want to explore new forms of image-making and storytelling through our craft. Get in contact if you would like to work together!
