I’m Odysseus, a London based designer with interests in the fields of Graphic designer, Illustration and Strategic Thinking.
Co-lab App – UX Design, Guerrilla Campaign
The Co-lab app stemmed from a frustration of the lack of designer-friendly platforms where creatives could connect and build professional relationships. The app eliminates user discrimination by creating an environment for praising the design rather than the designer, ensuring a level playing field for all users. This idea will be promoted through a Guerrilla Campaign where ‘Co-lab’ will invade known galleries and make artists anonymous so that their work can be acknowledged on design value. Project w/ Harry Hainstock, Isaac Vernon, Caitlin Mills and later Personally developed.
99.3% – Marketing Campaign
While campaigning for Azza Soliman and her work for Women’s Rights, it was found that 99.3% of Egyptian women experienced sexual harassment. The public was presented with this percentage and asked to comment on what they thought it represented. Our outcome now serves as a visual representation of the lack of awareness about the issue. Project w/ Alfie Hancock, Charles Matthew and Haruhiko Tsunoda.
Lively Lot – Publication Design, Illustration
My dissertation covers the effect that mobile phones have on us. 88% of people use their mobiles whilst on public transport. Because of this, the London Underground will be targeted as a place of distribution for my publication in the hope that passengers will put down their mobiles for the text. The publication will be released over the course of a 5-day working week. The front covers will feature my own designed illustration.
Safeguard – Branding, Speculative
Safeguard proposes using re-purposed single-use plastic bags and bottles, that would otherwise pollute the sea, to create a 50 Newton buoyancy aid, made available to the people of Cornwall through a number of the local water sports centres.
