Nina Hacker is a digital illustrator with proficiency in the Adobe Suite, and most Digital Painting Software including Procreate. She has interest in a wide plethora of methods with which one can tell a story. Her work is conceptual, and generally themed around narrative and character, but her other passions lie strongly in typography and design.

Much of her projects during the pandemic became physical as a way to challenge herself and motivate her practice. The outcome was a suitcase full of the belongings of a fictional student at a school for black magic, the imagined artifacts from a Museum founded after an apocalypse, and a line of screen-printed clothing and custom jackets. She is currently based in London, but will shortly be moving to Leeds for a while to see what opportunities may await…

Hello! I’m Nina, also known as mysticvelvet. I specialise in a wide variety of interests within the word of illustration, all whilst sticking to my passion for storytelling and character. Although my most frequently featured work is digital, I do enjoy the opportunity of experimentation and playing with format.
