Compose Yourself is a reflective, situational installation that is reminiscent of a working environment. Assembling this space captures the essence of work and investigation that often happens while being surrounded by a current project, or in this case, the artists’ ongoing personal investigation. It stands as a place for discovery and excavation. The artist locates themselves here, using artefact materials handed down to them by their predecessors to make works that could be either permanent or ephemeral. By immersing themselves in the artisanal craft of Letterpress Printing and pushing the aged materials to be more than just tools; allowing mistakes, making decisions, they become the conductor of the assemblage that will continuously evolve.
