You Still Miss the Warm
This commemorates the experiences of my grandma Sybil and great Aunt Joyce; Jamaican-born but moved to England at 18 and 23. These are individual stories, but connect to the wider movement of Caribbeans with similar journeys. There’s great irony in being welcomed here yet being outcast upon arrival.
