The 2021 work titled ‘BEWILDERMENT’ is an interactive sculpture which encases the 2020 publication ‘WONDER’, which is accessible upon a note inside a plastic ball being fed into the sculpture. The sculpture is a humanoid form that protects ‘WONDER’ from outsiders, in the context of coronavirus, automated objects take the place of people. The publication explores the idea of a portal through a personal narrative of the artist making work during the pandemic, featuring the real responses of strangers online. The portal is used as a tool to explore the current digital age, from having access to faraway worlds which you cannot touch, only hope for.
