Karolina Šauklytė, also known as Atremu, is a Lithuanian artist known online for her upcoming webcomic about a monster murder mystery. Using Procreate and Adobe Suite, she produces colourful work straight from her kitchen. Her art is narrative driven, with character design that puts a spin on classic monsters such as the invisible man and frankenstein’s monster. Her graduating film, Wolves In April, also does not let go of the monster theme, the story following a hunter mother with a werewolf daughter. The animation is personal, inspired by her own relationship with her mother, a piece about becoming something different during your teenage years and learning to let go of the way things used to be. Now having graduated in Kingston, Karolina will continue further studies in Vilnius Art Academy.
