Jo Roberts is an Illustrator, an Animator, and a 2021 graduate of Kingston University.
Roberts uses digital 2D formats to visualise stories that explore identity and reflection of self, tackling vast topics with explorative imagery. She was awarded 5th Place representing Kingston University, for the Worldwide competition 24 Hours Animation Competition.
My time at Kingston University has allowed me to push myself out of my comfort zone and in this last year, explore the world of moving image. A lot of my animation work has subconsciously been exploring identity, I enjoy creating work that starts a discussion from which my most recent film was built from.
