Jiwoo Reem is an animator with an Illustration and Animation degree from Kingston University. She specialises in 2D techniques with digital painting software programs such as Adobe photoshop, Adobe after-effects and Unity program. Jiwoo continues to challenge her techniques and artwork style to deliver the narrative of her projects more effectively. In this regard, she often likes to mix different textures or styles within her work. She takes this challenge further by not only delivering animation in 2D, but also in 3D and stop-motion animations.

In her final project at KSA, Jiwoo directed the story that entails Korean traditional practice known as Jesa from two different perspectives. Creating a sequel, Jiwoo aimed to deliver disparity and contrast in not only her workstyle, but also in context. Whereas the prequel approaches Jesa from the perspective of the living and delivers a pleasant spirit, the sequel discusses Jesa from the perspective of the dead and rather brings a reminiscent feeling.

“feeding means affection.”

If so, will the dead be able to come to the living world for the meal?

The story entails Korean traditional practice known as Jesa from two different points of view.
