The uncomfortable change of puberty. Our metamorphosis, public, for all to see. No longer recognising our bodies as our own, a notion of new ownership by men is thrust upon us. Once free to play unselfconsciously, now ‘fresh meat.’ We learn to accept that our new form renders us unsafe as we will now continue to be sexualised by men.
