Evie has focused on illustration through-out the course with her final project directing her skills at character design and concept art. Her final project ‘CHIMERA’ allowed her to fully experiment with and realise her art direction for a video game concept that she had proposed herself. Her process often starts organically as she used traditional media to develop her themes as she believes she can flow more freely between them, and the outcome is allowed to be more expressional. After her characters have been uncovered she moves into digital programs to help to establish them into an industry standard image and emerge them into the world she has built. While enjoying working digitally Evie also has a strong interest in lino print and oil pastel. A soon to be graduate of Illustration Animation BA (Hons) she is open and excitedly looking for any opportunities to expand her skills and help others build their ideas.
I have a strong interest in character design and have been able to explore different methods to help create illustrations. By designing my own game proposal it’s allowed me to have creative freedom. The images displayed show a mixture of my creative processes alongside fully realised concept art outcomes.
