Evie is an Illustrator and Animator who works with a variety of materials and media. She likes to use drawing as visual communication to reflect and explore themes of childhood, nostalgia, and mental health. She also likes to create satirical work to communicate her ideas and perspective on specific issues. Through her work, she has developed confidence in expressing her own personal interests. She is inspired particularly by Japanese Kawaii and surreal imagery which influences her style. She particularly enjoys creating repeated patterns, moving images and pretty much anything that allows her to be experimental. Her Showreel represents particular work she has done recently that reflects her personal interests and visual style. One example is from her animation My Collection which is about what she has collected throughout her life and how her collection of objects connects to her as a person.
I believe drawing can be the best way to express yourself as a person. I have come so far to create work I can be proud of which has perfectly documented who I am, what I like and how I feel.
