The selected images demonstrate the work of Charlotte Franklin, an abstract artist and photographer who strives to explore the beautiful and mysterious intricacies embodied within water, light and shadows. The harmonious relationship between the enticing present and unexplored ether is explored through a myriad of experimental photographs and prints, whereby the camera takes the viewer into the unexplored, transformative world hidden in plain sight – an immersive atmosphere that holds hypnotising movements, remarkable shapes and ever-changing colours.

The project showcased, THROUGH LIGHT, WE FIND SHADOWS, is a publication that explores the silent relationship between the two opposing states known as light and dark. Fuelled by a fascination with the intricacies held between said realms, the ultimate goal was to explore and elucidate findings from a series of experimental photographic studies.
