Sustainability has been a key focus of much of my work. I am interested in ideas that take action and actively solve problems.

FoodPrint is an online food delivery service that helps users reduce the environmental impact of their diets. The user’s groceries are collected from smaller, local businesses, such as green grocers, butchers, fishmongers, bakeries, village shops and zero waste refill shops. When selecting and ordering their groceries online, users will be informed and made aware of the environmental impact of each item they select and how one item compares to another. Users will also be able to set goals and limits on their shops and keep track and improve the impact of their diet on the environment.

Design for action is my position on a graphic designer’s relationship with sustainability. As a designer I need to ensure my work takes physical action towards helping the environment. By planting a tree, I was able to ensure this project had an immediate and on-going positive impact on the environment. You can see the film on Vimeo.
