Hey There!
My name is Arjun Jose Louis and I’m a prospective design professional. I was born and brought up in the city of Kochi in Kerala, India and I am someone who likes to enjoy the little things in life. I wasn’t always interested in this particular field and used to constantly wonder about an aim in my life. From the moment I became aware of the potential of the design industry, I knew instinctively that this was the path for me. In the past four years of college I have slowly accustomed myself to the nuances and splendour of design and I’ve managed to start building up towards something from the ground up. I hope to continue to be amazed by new and stimulating experiences in this path that I’ve chosen for myself.

I have a fascination with the innate superstitious nature of human beings. I wanted to explore and understand this phenomenon through my Major design project. I attempted to decode how superstitions are cause or created and how it affects us in our daily life. Through my research I arrived at the conclusion to target those who are overly dependent on superstitions to navigate their personal lives. These people may inhibit their daily functioning’s with such behaviour or even worse they might create inconveniences for others surrounding them. The method I chose was to highlight the story of such a character through an animated short film of 5 minutes which conveys a comical story with dark underlying tone about a man who destroys his life while depending on a supposedly magical object.

My strongest skill is likely to be my ability to be adaptable depending on the situation. I consider myself to be the biggest critic to my own work and I am constantly trying to achieve the standards I set for myself through research and persistence.

I aim to be a person who can guide others to their respective passions and help them realise their goals. I believe that design provides a platform for me to act up on this vision.
