Hey I am Anjali Joshy , a multidisciplinary UX designer and who focuses on creating design solutions through design thinking. While growing up in Delhi, India, I was always surrounded by stories of people who came from multiple cultures, religions, backgrounds. these stories of pain, happiness, anger allowed me to understand and look at the world in various perspectives and often, for me it was more than listening, but more of a way to become part of that story and to decipher the challenge and finding the why?
As both my parents worked in NGOs most of my summer vacations was spend volunteering in various social programs, which meant working around people who lived in slums and I was always fascinated by the solutions these people would come up with ,to solve a problem like creating a T-shirt made out of plastic bags or a football made out of plastic bottles. The way they always used the things that was available to them to create impossible and out of the box products /solutions was and always will be incredible. I realized my love for creating products that help people and improve their life than creating something for my own pleasure.
My MDP project was Dumproo, a toolkit curated and created for ADHD children taking into account the challenges faced by both the children and the parents. The toolkit also Provides an analysing tool that helps parents to have a deeper understanding and keep track of the improvements of the child over a period of time. The Dumproo box was created to be completely sustainable and each material in the provided in the box is recyclable with a fun interface for the children.
My greatest strength is the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently through design thinking, I have learned to experiment new possibilities and technology to create a perfect solution for the users.
I believe that stories create designs and brings change. As designers these stories are an advantage that allows us to look at a problem through different lens, understand our users and bring in solutions that not only solves the problem but also builds the future and society we are living in.
