The project focuses on creating a new space for the Aesop brand reserved for shopping and beyond. This space should be meaningful, sustainable and combine the usual shopping experience together with learning, knowledge-enrichment and (ideas) exchange possibilities, adapting and renewing the concept of the Greek Agora.

The Agora was the most important place of ancient Greece cities. It was a well-known and defined space, actually a physical square, normally situated in the city centre, where all the citizens were used to meet and exchange in a wide sense. It was the beating heart of the city, where all the aspects of life, being it social, spiritual, political, artistic, business, etc. were taking place.

In a similar way, the Aesop shopping space is meant to serve as a place where the brand, the customers and the community will cooperate and learn together. A place where they can enrich their knowledge and understanding of the importance of the circular economy and sustainability in their lives, found practical examples on how recycling can be made possible as well as having fun, especially as far as younger customers are concerned.

As a result, this project should help both the brand and the community in their common path towards a new, sustainable way of living, to learn about today’s possible solutions and discoveries in the field of circular economy and allow for their concrete application in real life.

I believe this work challenged me to be a better version of myself, break over the boundaries of my limited knowledge, and get a better understanding of my skills. This project was very special, it helped me understand what is circular economy and how important it is together with sustainability.
